About Us

Terrie Soberg is a mother of 9 children and grandmomma of Lil Scotty and Jayden, and Kaeden. She keeps busy taking care of her new husband, Dave, and the children at home: Annika, Jared, Aimee, and Bonnie. She also owns a photovideography and web design business, reads, paints, and does her own genealogy as well as helps others to find their dead people. She counts this blog as her journal, so it better be good!

David Soberg is a very brave man. He agreed to marry Terrie, knowing that she came with the brood in a package deal. Dave is a graduate of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He is the Operations Manager of a contract cleaning service. He enjoys fishing, making jokes, watching the Colbert Report and being cynical. And he is the luckiest man on earth, by his own admission!

Danitta’s 27th Week Appointment

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Since we got into town early, I was able to go to Kyle and Danitta’s OB appointment with them. I was able to see the baby on the ultrasound, opening and closing his mouth. Danitta is measuring 27 inches and everything looks good. The baby’s heartrate was 142 and he measured 2 pounds, 7 ounces. […]

Jayden is Here

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

Jayden J. Bradford arrived earlier than his January 19th due date, much to the relief of Momma Carla, Daddy Scotty, and Grandma Terrie. He entered the world at 11:38 am on December 29, 2007 weighing 8 pounds and stretching out to 20 inches long. Dave and I left Minnesota earlier than we planned so that […]

Will Rogers’ Secret from Elmer Wheeler

Monday, December 24th, 2007

I received this from a mailing list I am on today. Reading it has changed my way of thinking, and I am going to use this as one of my New Year’s Goals. See what you think!
A magic way to win more friendships that no one can resist; even hardened criminals can be won over […]

Loser Vikings

Sunday, December 23rd, 2007

Well, the Vikings just lost to the Washington Redskins. Now, I console myself with the fact that if they had to lose, at least it was to the team that lost Sean Taylor to a violent death. I know they must have been devastated by his loss. Both the Redskins and the Vikings wore “21″ […]

Dr. Dave Hertelendy, our Dentist

Monday, December 17th, 2007

Annika, Jared, Aimee, and Bonnie all had their dentist appointments today. They all had pretty good reports. Only a couple of cavities to fill, and Annika needs braces. Jared’s teeth are perfect. All of the people in the office are wonderful, and Dr. Dave has a terrific sense of humor. Of course, the kids love […]

New Snow Gear

Saturday, December 15th, 2007

Yeahh, we live in Minnesota! Not. The snow is coming and we have to be properly outfitted. Dave and I went shopping tonight–my first experience at Fleet Farm. Talk about a cool place!! We bought boots, gloves, scarves, and hats for everyone. I love my new boots with the soft, fuzzy fur inside. We also […]

Bird Flu Pun

Saturday, December 15th, 2007

I was just reading Dave an article about bird flu this morning that spoke of people in Indonesia getting sick.
Then I told him that there were new cases in China as well.
He asked me if they were Hunan-to-Hunan transmissions.
Bu-dump-bump!

Fortune Cookies

Friday, December 14th, 2007

Dave had a couple of fortune cookies in his truck. He brought them in and set them down. When Aimee and Bonnie came home from school, they asked to have them.
Bonnie asked me to read her fortune to her. It said, “Your life will be dictated by authority today.” She asked me what that meant. […]

The Secret is Out!

Friday, December 14th, 2007

Well, that didn’t take long! Kyle just called back and said that he was overruled. They are expecting a boy. The name as of now will be Kaeden Robert Bradford. With sixteen weeks left, that may change. Probably not as quickly as keeping the baby’s sex a secret, but who knows?
