Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Where to start, hmm.
Kyle and Danitta
Danitta was told to go to the hospital today to be checked by her doctor because her blood sugar levels are too high in the morning. They are going to keep her overnight and see how she does tomorrow. They will also check the baby’s progress. As of right now, […]

Peanut Surprise

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

Yes, we know what causes this, but it happened anyway! We sort of consider it the last hoorah at the Hopkins house.
Much to our surprise, we our expecting a little one around the end of October. We are very happy about our news, yet we know that there will be varied feelings. We have already […]

Still No House

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

We still haven’t heard anything about our house. I have tried to be very patient throughout this whole experience, but that is definitely getting old quickly. Our mortgage lender has a copy of the contract and is ready to go with the papers and appraisal, but first we need to know IF THEIR BANK IS […]

Incontinence

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

Okay, so I’ve had eight babies. I can no longer safely laugh, sneeze, or cough without worrying about having an accident. Dave is very sympathetic to my plight.
We went to Wal-Mart for a few things. Wal-Marts are very dusty. I started sneezing. All of a sudden I hear David say, “Uh-oh.” I looked at him […]

Hopkins House Sold

Monday, January 7th, 2008

We closed on our house today. The whole process has gone very smoothly, but I knew I would be anxious until the The new buyer, Danell, came to do the walk-through at 9:30 am. Dave, Bonnie, Pugsly and I all loaded up into the van and drove across the street to hide and watch. After […]

Not a Heart Attack

Sunday, January 6th, 2008

I’ve been having chest pains for the last three days. Yesterday we looked online to come up with our potential diagnosis. We narrowed it down to a couple of choices, but the disease of my choosing was Costochondritis. Since it didn’t seem life-threatening, I wasn’t too worried.
This morning I woke up and immediately noticed the […]

Ice Skating

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

Our Christmas present to the children was a pair of ice skates for each of them. We went to the outdoor ice skating rink at Katherine Curren today for our first try. Annika wasn’t feeling well and opted out, but Jared, Aimee, and Bonnie were game. I put my skates on, and then did Aimee […]

Dave’s Ticket

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

We were anxious to get back home. I drove for a few hours through Illinois and into Wisconsin. Dave took over for the last few hours. Suddenly the radar detector went off as we went around a curve. Sure enough, a Wisconsin State Trooper was sitting in the median clocking us. I knew he got […]

Loser Vikings

Sunday, December 23rd, 2007

Well, the Vikings just lost to the Washington Redskins. Now, I console myself with the fact that if they had to lose, at least it was to the team that lost Sean Taylor to a violent death. I know they must have been devastated by his loss. Both the Redskins and the Vikings wore “21″ […]

New Snow Gear

Saturday, December 15th, 2007

Yeahh, we live in Minnesota! Not. The snow is coming and we have to be properly outfitted. Dave and I went shopping tonight–my first experience at Fleet Farm. Talk about a cool place!! We bought boots, gloves, scarves, and hats for everyone. I love my new boots with the soft, fuzzy fur inside. We also […]
