About Us

Terrie Soberg is a mother of 9 children and grandmomma of Lil Scotty and Jayden, and Kaeden. She keeps busy taking care of her new husband, Dave, and the children at home: Annika, Jared, Aimee, and Bonnie. She counts this blog as her journal, so it better be good!

He enjoys fishing, making jokes, watching the Colbert Report and being cynical. And he is the luckiest man on earth, by his own admission!

Happy Birthday, Grandma Irene 2008

Grandma Irene would have been 85 years old today. She passed away in March 1979, almost thirty years ago. I was only fourteen years old at the time, but I remember Grandma. Today I live only two blocks from where her trailer used to sit.
I lived in California for many years, so I didn’t get […]

Happy Birthday, Mom 2008

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

Mom turned 64 today. She probably won’t be happy to know that I shared that with the world, but my dad has it on the family calendar, so it’s not really a secret. I am glad to be closer to my Mom after so many years of being away. Now that I am a Grandma […]

Thanksgiving Day

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

We went to Dale and Patty’s house today for Thanksgiving. We picked up Grandma Dorothy and arrived by 12:00 noon. We had to be there earlier than I’ve ever eaten Thanksgiving dinner because we had to accommodate the schedule of a two-year old. How crazy is that? When we got there, it was still snowing, […]

Brianna, Five Years Later

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Brianna died five years ago today. We still remember her on her birthdays, adoption anniversaries, and deathdays each year. It’s harder now that we live in Minnesota, because I only go to her grave a couple times a year when we bring the children down to Tennessee. We try to focus on the good memories, […]
